Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was known as a TV host, former chef in the Institute of Culinary Education and she was formerly an instructor of cooking. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef along with being the host of Worst Cooks in America. With her signature spiky blond hair and an exuberant personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of eating out and offers clear, easy to learn techniques for the at-home cook on her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell was also employed by various top eateries in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy as well as competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was inspired by food. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stop for her after she graduated with A Bachelor of Arts in English as well as Communications from Canisius College Buffalo NY. According to her "I loved being a Culinary Institute of America (CIA) student. I was awed by every minute." I was never able to learn or do enough. Chef Burrell was a graduate of The Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy spent one year working in Umbria in Umbria at La Taverna del Lupo and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, the Michelin-starred restaurant. During her time in Italy she learned to comprehend and appreciate the philosophy of Italian cuisine and culture which has had a profound impact from a culinary standpoint. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. Additionally, she has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists children with obstacles. as a speaker, guest and coach, she travels throughout the US to talk about the joy of cooking as well as her profession. Anne declared that she felt fortunate having the opportunity to be able to share her passion for cooking with many others.
