Alona Tal

 Alona Tal is an Israeli-American actress and singer. She was born in Herzliya on October 20, 1983. Her career began after her service as a member of the Israeli Defense Forces. In 2003, she starred in an Israeli movie. This was her big break. She also appeared in two Israeli television series at the time. She tried her hand at recording songs together with Subliminal, an Israeli rapper. Tal moved in with her sister in New York to take a time out from her work. Then, she teamed up with Haitian artist Wyclef Jean in the song "Party to Damascus". She also established herself as a character on American television, with a recurring role in the series Veronica Mars: She originally attempted to audition for the lead role but creator Rob Thomas wrote a new character just for her. Tal later snagged an regular spot in the short-lived CBS series. She was on two television programs in Israel before moving to New York. Recorded a song in collaboration with the singer Wyclef Jean. Her primary language is Hebrew. She finished second in the role as Veronica Mars (2004). Thomas loved her so much that he conceived the recurring character of Meg Manning just for her. He served in The Israel Defense Forces. Her parents are Jewish and her father is Turkish/Jewish while her has a Polish/Jewish mother. She plays Adrian Monk's spouse, who was killed in the last episode of Monk (2002).
