Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Francesca Wright was born 17 February 1991. She is a model, actress and director from England. Wright is best known for her part in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. She remained in the role for 10 years, before moving to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011). After the series, Wright appeared in a string of independent films, including Before I Sleep (2013), The Sea (2013), and After the Dark (2014) and After the Dark (2014). The films received mixed reviews. Wright made her stage debut as the main character in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse in 2013.Wright graduated from University of the Arts London in 2012 with an undergraduate degree in filmmaking. After graduating from University of the Arts in London in 2012, she began creating short films through her production company BonBonLumiere. Her first film she directed was which was a coming-of-age drama Separate We Come and Separate We Go (2012). It was released at Cannes Film Festival to great praise from critics. She also directed Know Thyself (2016), with Christian Coulson, as well as Sextant (2016). Both featured landscape and emotion. Wright's trilogy Phone Calls premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2017. The film was released in Medusa's Ankles (2018) starring Kerry Fox and Jason Isaacs which is inspired by A. S. Byatt's The Matisse Stories. She also created music videos for Scarlett Johansson, Pete Yorn and Sophie Lowe. Wright is an ambassador of Greenpeace, Lumos and has received recognition for her environmental advocacy.
